Thought My Game Was Scratched
Did anyone else think that their game or system was fucking up at the one scarcrow part where the screen goes all wierd, maybe it actually is my disc that is making it do that idk but i thought it was broken because it would flash wierd colors and then go back to what i thought was the beggining seen when it was actually just a dream of batmans. Idk maybe im just stupid but i was scared for a second that my disc was fucked lol.
Yeah, I was RAGING when that happened. I had my finger over the reboot button on my comp.
I guess it was pretty well done, in retrospect.

Yeah, I thought my 360 had died the first time I saw that, too. Damn clever move on the developers' parts, I think. ^_^
I thought my ps3 ylod again, I turned off the console. However the second play through I realised it was part of the game.
lol Batman punk'd all you guys.
I figured it was an in game thing, though the way it was done was really awesome
i didn't know that was on purpose cause i rented it so i figured it was just the disc. that's cool haha.
" I was like so nervous I was just like NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ".. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!
I was disappointed, thinking that the game was bugging up so I was just about to take the disc out of my 360 and clean it up but when it kept on going and I saw the inverted Batman symbol on the moon, I knew it was supposed to be happening. It never even occurred to me that it was the Scarecrow again until Batman rose from his grave.
I love parts like those in video games. Especially when it totally catches you off guard in a game that's not based around the concept of fucking with the player's mind like Batman: AA. Games that do something like this that immediately come to mind are: Eternal Darkness, several Metal Gear Solid games and Batman: AA. I'd like to see this concept used more frequently and more effectively.
" -COUGH- PSYCHO MANTIS RIP OFF -COUGH- "I hope you're being sarcastic, I can't stand people like that.
I thought this was a great movie, it actually made me worry that my computer had bust! Scarecrow actually got me, beyond the game!
" @creamypies said:Can't stand people like what? There's no denying the fact that both MGS and Eternal Darkness did this trick way before Arkham Asylum... yet people are applauding this game for using a decade old mechanic. I'm not saying this game didn't use it well... but it's annoying me more that alot of people aren't even recognising the fact that this is in no way unique." -COUGH- PSYCHO MANTIS RIP OFF -COUGH- "I hope you're being sarcastic, I can't stand people like that. " -COUGH- PSYCHO MANTIS RIP OFF -COUGH- "Not exactly. Scarecrow's methods are more conventional and rely more on narcotics and such. Whereas Psycho Mantis uses telepathic abilities.
Conker's bad fur Day also did something like this, the game "freezes" at the final boss, and Conker takes advantage of the situation.
When did you guys relize somthing was going on and it wasnt the disk?
At first i thought it was my ps3 as i had went to close the door so missed the gas part. then I saw the press J too skip. So I was like "WTF WHY IS MY PS3 GOING JAPANESE AGAIN!!!!"
Then I saw batman it the passenger seat and thought, man my ps3 is screwed and turned it off, I heard the beeping of it turning off and thought, Oh crap, that might of been a pupose thing.............. Then got pisssed off :)
