    Game of the year material

It did not take me long to fall in love with game, and is probably my favourite game since Bioshock came out two years ago. It boasts fantastic sound in it's score and voice acting (expertly done by the cast of the animated series), great intepretations of all the Batman characters, and a very intuitive and fun combat system.

There are some complaints towards the game's ending, which i have to agree fails in comparison to the rest of the game, but the rest of the story is an absolute treat. The highlights for me are the Joker's commentary throughout the game through arkham's loudspeakers, and the Scarecrow levels, which are the perhaps the summit of creativity in a game which constantly remains fresh.

Another criticism could be that the Riddler's challenges would not suffer from a bit more variation, there are a hell of a lot of them which are a great distraction from the game's usual combat (not that it needs it), but once you have the different types of riddle's down it is not hard to work them out quickly. Having said that, I was never bored and gladly went back looking for ones i'd missed, but a few more types of riddle, or at least harder ones, would not have gone amiss and the challenge disappeared around the middle of the 240 or so.

Absolutely great game, will be looking out for Rocksteady games in the future!

So, what makes this such a great game?It makes you think like Batman. It's that simple. You have to think like Batman in order to survive. There are three aspects to Batman: Arkham Asylum. The brawler, where you're dropped into a room of unarmed goons and have to knock them all out. The predator, where you're dropped into a room of armed goons a...

Inmates aren't the only ones crazy for Batman: Arkham Asylum 0

Simple and satisfying martial art combat, stealthy take-downs,  bat shaped gadgetry, and detective intelligence gathering are all delivered so well in Batman: Arkham Asylum that you will leave this game with no less than a wonderful taste in your mouth. How that taste got there is due to the interesting character interaction between Batman, his allies, and the villains that fans and newcomers alike will find intriguing, humorous, and authentic.  The bottom line is this game is really fun and you...
