Be all you can be in the Bat suit.

A buddy and I were talking about what we fantasized about being as kids. He wanted to be a cowboy and was enraptured with Red Dead. Me - I wanted to be the world's greatest detective.

Arkham Asylum is a gift from heaven. Never before have I been able to get under the skin of the Dark Knight. Everything in this game rings true.

The controls and fighting mechanics are smooth as can be, the world beautifully created and simply dripping with ambiance and dark, Gothic atmosphere.

The characters you come across are voiced by grade-A actors. The game might be linear and most of it takes place within the confines of the Asylum but there is a surprising degree of environment variety and surprising immersive mind-fuck moments.

This is as near to perfection as I have ever seen. A real gem. The only problem is it makes everything else look so bad, and dull, and lame.

Yet the Dark Knight remains suspicious: The Joker has never let himself be captured this easily. Batman with the help of Commissioner Gordon and the prison staff escort The Joker through Arkham. Yet once the prisoner is separated from Batman he manages to escape custody and begins a riot, taking over the prison. Batman ...
