So, I just thought of this and I feel Rocksteady might have missed a trick here. Why not capitalise on the release of The Dark Knight Rises next week, with themed The Dark Knight Rises Story DLC for Arkham City? I'm sure it's a lot harder than just that, seeing as TDKR I believe takes place all over Gotham, but I feel it would be worth the effort have sold quite well on the back of the movie and on the back of Rocksteady's reputation with the Batman games. Maybe they could have made it standalone DLC, one that doesn't require a copy of Arkham City. I kind of feel something like this would have sold gangbusters. What do you think?

Would You Pay for Dark Knight Rises Story DLC for Arkham City?
Tonally, the films and the games are drastically different. I feel like doing the crossover would end up with some sort of identity-confused Frankenstein of a thing.
Knightfall would not make for a fun Rocksteady game, and I would definitely not want to see a straight film adaptation. I'd much rather see them take on The Dark Knight Returns or The Long Halloween, though the latter is certainly out of fandom for the book.

I'd rather not have Nolan's awful vision of the Batman universe infect what is otherwise a pitch perfect version of it
Not really, I just never thought that the movies really justified a gaming release. There isn't enough freedom to make alternate side-stories like Arkham City and Asylum. Not to mention, no offence intended, but I never enjoyed the Dark Knight's version of the Joker. He just didn't lean enough into the insanity for me, but maybe I am just a Mark Hamill Joker fanboy.

No. I love the Arkham games, I love Nolan's Batman, but they're two separate and distinct things, and to see Warner Bros. try to mash the two universes into one big blob just to make some quick cash would be upsetting.
Especially considering Bane and Catwoman are in AC and their characters are completely different from Nolan's versions.
