Anyone heard anything about this? I didn't even realize it was a thing. I'm downloading the demo now to check it out.

Battle: Los Angeles
Game » consists of 3 releases. Released Mar 11, 2011
A downloadable first person shooter that mirrors the events of the film of the same name.
This was just released quietly on the Xbox Live Marketplace
I tried it, and it's awful.
Pros:
Ammo is plentiful. There are crates that completely refill your guns/grenades after every encounter. I'm not sure why I need a full arsenal after every 5 enemies, though.
Cons:
Bad art/animation for the storytelling cut scenes
Controls are sluggish and feel terrible. I upped the sensitivity all the way and it wasn't enough.
You can only sprint for about 12 feet before the ability has to recharge
Grenades are only useful for blowing up cars
Enemy AI is awful. They just stand and shoot. Sometimes they'll crouch behind a car or walk about 6 feet.
You squad is lifeless and useless.
Single-player only. Maybe that's a pro?
The demo is super short. I think it took about 10 minutes to complete on normal. Maybe the game is also very short and they limit that sprint so you can't complete it in 45 minutes.
After playing for like ten seconds I knew I didn't want to play anymore. Wonky animation, bad AI, stiff controls and an in game ad.
I was looking around for info on it, but couldn't find anything. Thanks for trying it out for us, I kind of assumed it was crap.
"And to think they are trying to charge for this game. "
I paid 800 points. That's $10.00 bucks for this piece of junk.

If you're asking why are they charging for this junk? Well it beats me...
If you're asking why I bought the game? It's because I like to get the feel of the most regret possible of course.
I just played the demo and thought it was just fine. I think some people are being a little unfair to it.
The presentation of the story is off. The comic book cutscenes and the acting are bad but I honestly didn't expect much. From a gameplay perspective, it felt like a competent shooter. The shooting feels a bit like Killzone 2. Some people said it feels sluggish but, from my perspective, it just feels heavier then a game like Call of Duty. That isn't necessarily a bad thing to me. The bad guys are bullet sponges and I only saw one enemy type. The set ups were the same every time as well. There were always a few guys on the ground and one guy above all of us. But, there were some pretty neat scripted moments. I thought the graphics were pretty good for an XBLA game.
People need to remember that this is a $10 game. As a $10 game, it is just fine. If this is a 3-5 hour game (which I don't know if it is) then I think it is worth at least considering if you want to play a FPS but either can't afford a full-retail game or want to try something new. It really wasn't all that bad. It was competent with some cool scripted moments and nice graphics.
If it is only 45-60 minutes long the, of course, don't buy it.
I find it funny when people hate on games like this. Can't you people see the point? E-a-s-y G.
Ah, the advantage of having someone buy bad games for you.
The movie was great but the game is just complete shit. Why give development of a game based on a heavily funded action movie over to Konami?

And better. Much much better.
