My friend and I have all but given up on trying to play this game online. The night it came out everything worked fine. Not a hitch. We went to bed and when we tried to play every time since every server takes forever and a day to load, and when it does it's always so laggy and rubberbanding that it's impossible to play. it's constantly disconnecting from servers, and the game will just randomly crash to desktop for no reason. If it was just me and I didn't have the first night of it working fine I would think it was something on my end, but given the above mentioned it has to be on their end right?

Anyone experience this? Rather annoyed with not being able to play this game for a few days now.

@ikilledthedj: I think I'm done. Been trying again for the last hour and every time the game craps out a few min into the game. Gotta love how publishers are allowed to sell such broken games and that we as consumers have zero recourse for refunds.

Same thing happened 2 years ago with BF3. It definitely got more stable after about a week. My game loads up just fine, I have 20 ping on Japanese servers and I still get rubberbanding while playing. In the meantime, keep your video drivers updated to mitigate the game crashing.

Wow what a shit show, you'd think DICE would have learned after Bad Company 1 back in what, 1998? But no, instead they just love to suck all day.

You can say that about any Dev team tho

Its not acceptable that its happened, BUT it has and will probably continue to. There have been a number of discussions on why this is the case at launch for online games, im tired of seeing people go they should have just got more servers blah blah blah... shit costs money

I don't know man, the only problem I had in WoW was server queues - now that sound like one of them good problems, you heard? Also, I've never had any problems with Call of Duty and that's millions hammering the servers at once. Maybe MW3 had small problems joining party and MW2 had a javelin glitch but whatever. But no real problems man. Never on no launch day man.

I've had some crashes and disconnects but that is to be expected.
Completed way more rounds than I've crashed out of though.
They had a patch on day 2, sure another will be coming soon.
AMD even updated their drivers twice which is unheard of.

I'm at a breaking point. I can't take another crash. The beta was more stable than the release, and during the beta, if the game crashed at least some of your progress was saved.

I would say about 1/3rd of games I'm in crash the servers before the match has ended. You lose promotion progress, which is the real problem. I could give a shit whether I win the game or not, I just want to get some decent guns at this point.

Yeah, this exactly. If you have a real interest in the game, and you're going to give up and never play it again cuz of this after this soon, I don't know what to tell you. That's fine, if thats what you want, but this shit happens all the time. Take a break I say then, give it a week or two, let it calm down maybe get a patch out there hopefully, then go back to it.

This happens ALL THE TIME, CONSTANTLY. It's nothing new.

The crashes to desktop are due to the "levelution", you can test this yourself on Siege of Shanghai. As soon as the big building in the middle collapses it crashes the game for a ton of people, usually half of an 64 player server is gone once that building collapses.

The same seems to happen on the map with the big dam and the watermap with the big wind turbine, but i'm not 100% certain about those, as i'm still trying to find my way around the maps (and what falls apart in them) but the majority of crashes to desktops during rounds seem to boil down to the "levelution" happening.

Probably a memory leak, but it's still very embarrassing, after all "levelution" had been the big selling point for BF4 and now it seems to break the game.

I can live with crappy network performance due to master-servers being hammered, that is to be expected. But when the main selling point of your game ends up ruining it, making it unplayable for a large portion of the playerbase, then something had to go pretty wrong at some point.

DICE and EA have get their crap together, this problem won't go away on it's own, it needs fixing on their side!
