     We're playing Bad Company 2 ALL WEEKEND!

     
    We're starting now. join group chat



    It's been six months since Sweep & I created the Steam group and started organizing bombing runs (Giant Bomb community runs)
    For the first 4 months we played regularly and in large numbers, then we started playing more randomly and people were a little lost on when and how we play

    So with around 150 members now, i'm happy to inform you that i'll be scheduling events ahead of time again, and we're gonna be playing Saturdays and Sundays. 
    If you haven't been checking out the Steam group, or maybe never knew existed, you can view the event page here, and join the group if you're new, so you can get my notifications through Steam.
    Also, Sweep's old thread here
     
      
    All you have to do is be online on Steam, i'll make sure you get an invitation to the group chatroom, and get the Ventrilo server details in order to join in on the conversation. 
    We pick the servers randomly, all server info will be listed in the chatroom/on Ventrilo.

    @mfpantst: theres usually a vent server which we use to chat with each other. In game text chat is available but the in game voice is fucking stupid.

    :D you don't have to talk, just join the server and listen for teamwork kinda stuff. We also use the steam group chat thing if you can't get vent at all.

    Baah, grand shame; won't be here this week-end, or the next for that matter. An over-due vacation will be keeping me busy.

    mmmm, I might have to get into vent for these next ones. I joined vent once before, but it was just really confusing. Once you get 8+ people in one vent channel everyone starts talking over each other, and when you've got people from all over the world all those different accents and dialects are overwhelming. Plus, I'm usually in a vent server talking to other people while playing BC2, or I've got a podcast or music on.

    Also, (and I don't know if it's always like this) the chatter in vent usually had nothing to do with the game being played. I like my voice comms to be succinct.

    Based on past experienced, i've found that those times get the biggest number of people. If it's any later, the European people don't play (and half the group is European), and if it's any earlier, it's too early for americans 
     So usually it's like that (afternoon for US evening for EU), and sometimes i set them really late in Europe in order for americans to enjoy a good evening run.

    I cant get enough of BC2 for xbox but the 5 friends I convinced to buy it still only play black ops.

    If Vent gets full we can try steam's voice chat. I gave it whirl with a few friends in BC2 and the sound quality was nearly identical to vent's.
