Well, looks like there's a new popular glitch in Vietnam where you can somehow blast a Patrol Boat under the map with friendly mines and while you're down there shoot people with the incredibly powerful mounted guns.  This has happened to me on multiple occasions, sometimes 2 games in a row.  There's no way to combat it at least from what I've figured out.  Wherever you may be on the map bullets can just come from the ground underneath you, or through a mountain.  In the death cam you can see that under the map it's just a giant lake, thus enabling them to go anywhere on the map.  It got so bad at one point I just stopped playing the game all together for a couple of days.  I've been lucky and haven't encountered it as of late.
 
Have you encountered people doing this?  Is it something that's going to be patched soon if not already?

I already took my anger out on the BFBC2 boards about this glitch. I am not gonna play Vietnam until that and other bugs get fixed. The sad thing about all of this is that it primarily used by high level players. Sad really.

I only encountered it twice. I play on PS3 though. Usually (slightly) more mature people who thankfully STFU most of the time.

The PS3 is plagued by this glitch at the mo & it's getting worse as knowlegde of it is spreading. It used to be as soon as a clan joined a game there'd be a boat under Hill 137 or Cao Son the first chance they'd have but had a couple of games today where it looked like randoms doing the cheating. It's not that much of a problem on Hastings as boats aren't spawned at either home base but I have interrupted a couple of would-be-cheaters unnaturally sniffing around a boat at point 'C' during a conquest match.
 
On the plus side, I did see a few red-dots mining their own APC on vanilla which was nice.

Funny... never had that happened to me... sounds bad.

I haven't seen this happen, though I can see why it would be annoying. A decent driver and an attentive gunner can already pretty much dominate in the PBR.

I haven't seen this yet... fortunately!
