I had some fun with the Playstation 3 beta that came out, actually the most fun I have had playing a FPS online. I was wondering who is going to get it and how was your experience with it.
I think the best way to play that game is with a group of buddies since it is split in squads of 4 people. I have a mic and actually use it to talk tactics with people, but no one else does(in my friends list). So if you plan on buying it and doing the same send me a PM with your PSN ID.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Game » consists of 26 releases. Released Mar 02, 2010
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is the second installment in this spin-off Battlefield series. It has a more serious campaign and a vastly expanded multiplayer system.
Who's Getting Battlefield Bad Company 2?
I would be pumped for this game, but the pre-order bonuses and stuff just ruins it. It feels like I have to take part in all this marketing stuff just to have an equal chance as everybody else. When I got MW2 still waiting for me, it's hard to justify getting this for the online play.
got so used to BC 1 on 360 that i pre ordered BC 2 for 360 as well. even though i consider myself a pc gamer and have a bangin pc i wanted the acheivements and i'm kinda worried about all the crazy die hard FPS whackos that will get it on pc who i don't have the time to compete with.
on 360 i've gotten my shooting skills pretty damn good. even though my skills on pc are better i feel the gap between the top players on 360 is closer than that of the PC.
" I don't know yet. "Same here. After I kind of felt burned from Battlefield 1943 on the Playstation 3 totally blowing chat, where it is non-functional 6 months after releasing.
" I am picking this up. These kind of games are a ton of fun with friends. "yeah very true. it sucks though because out of my friends im the only one with a ps3 and im not getting a 360 for that. so if you end up getting it let me know man we can play it online and stuff
I only rented the first, but I almost bought it. So if there's any improvement, really any at all, it bumps it up to something worth buying for me. It was very close the first time around.
Oh and as long as the comedic tone is kept.
So I'll have to wait and see for reviews I guess.
I'd really like to get it, I've always enjoyed The Battlefield franchise over the other FPSs out there. And Bad Company is just so bad asssssssss
I'm interested, I hope I get into the PC beta later this month. I really hope they treat the PC version right.
" I am. MW2 got old quick. "I feel the same way. Maybe we can get a team going from Giantbomb here. That is the best in a game like this, real teamwork.
I'm thinking about getting it on PC. My friend had the first for 360 and let me borrow it, it was definatl a lt of fun. But really I miss the old battlefield games... you know... the real ones? The ones with 64 players and massive battlefields? Yeah those ones. I'll probablly break in the end.
Every day I hope and pray for battlefield threey to come my way, but hey, if i can't play perhaps BC2 will keep my urges at bay.
I am most definitely getting this for PS3. Played the Beta, loved it and I have no doubt that DICE will deliver.
After seeing the quick look and playing BC1 and 1943 again, I feel justified in my having preordered BC2 on 360 already. MW2 grates on me at times, but the only thing grating in BC was the weird technical issues that seem to have been fixed, if the QL is any indication. Oh, and 'Y' for melee.
@Gargantuan:
Those games have devolved into spam nades or spam air based on if the map has them or not. You can barely move forward without randomly dying from randomly thrown grenades. Also the hit boxes are legendarily bad. Don't get me wrong as I was a huge fan of BF2 way back. But they just aren't the same anymore to me.
It's a lock purchase for me on the 360. I loved BBC, the sp mostly, and the mp not quite as much as BMC2, but still good stuff(conquest mode was a DL and took a while and the maps were too small in general imo). I really like the look of the bigger maps and the increased amount and variety of modes DICE is coming with in BBC2. I also trust DICE to put out a polished game after the first which I thought was very impressive and a giant step up from previous Battlefield games, especially the sp and the way the destructible environments affected the gameplay.
I'm a freak for Battlefield : Bad Company 2. Definitly the best Battlefield game yet. Battlefield : Bad Company's online multiplayer is my gaming baseline since it came out on June, 23rd 2008 - as were most Battlefield iterations before it. I also enjoyed relaxing in a fighter plane in BF 1943 this past summer. Best XBLA/PSN game yet. Really impressive. Battlefield never was better than it will be this coming March.
For me personally, it's already won GOTY 2010. I will play BF:BC 2's online multiplayer modes more than any other game this year and the highs I will have will surpass any other game's highpoints effortlessly. If I play another game after BF:BC 2's release, it will be for variety only - not because I'm tired of BF:BC 2 or believe another game will give me a higher high than BF:BC 2.
I'm buying BF:BC 2 for 360 first. In a year or so, when the system requirements for BF3 will be released, I will buy the PC version of BF:BC 2 (and a suitable gaming PC to go with it and BF3) and get accustomed again to play with mouse and keyboard - even though I prefer the gamepad over mouse and keyboard controls these days.
As I said, I'm a freak for the Battlefield franchise and BF:BC 2 especially. And you're a fool, if you're not - in all seriousness. A fool.
