I am totally with you on this.

This is why I put my box of beer in a plastic bag when offered one. There is just too much at stake to risk relying on the handle built into the box. Too much risk.

Carry box from bottom. Or drink all beers at once then throw box away.

Yep. I am always nervous when carrying a pack of beers by the handle. Especialy since the cardboard isn't totaly ridged and it bends a little bit under the weight. I usualy resort to holding it around my arm or from the bottom because I don't trust the handle. I mean I'll carry it up by the handle for small moves like from floor to fridge and so on but for walking back from the off-licence no way.

Just the thought of me buying a case of beer and the handle breaking is kinda hard to believe. 
 

That is why I hold my beer from the bottom with both hands, fuck those cheap handles.

i don't carry my beer by the handle, i tuck it under my arm like i'm carrying a small dog.

I always carry it by holding onto the bottom.

This is why I always carry from the bottom. And buy larger quantities, so you get a proper box.

I understand the feeling, but I don't buy beer... and I'm sure if I did, or if I just ended up carrying one, I would carry it by the box itself, not the handle.

As has been said, always carry from the bottom, lest ye be in tears. I hate Heineken, but then again many would say I don't have the best taste in beer. I get cheap beer, always. My cheap beer of choice is always PBR.

Real men don't carry boxes of beer by the handle.

Anything that comes in those crappy boxes should be carried by the bottom.
