Beleth is a very powerful and fiercesome king of Hell. He is always proceeded by a procession of musicians, and when first summoned is invariably enraged; a complex procedure is needed to prevent him from wreaking vengeance on his summoner. Even after his anger has been quelled, the summoner must be very careful and polite when addressing him, as any sign of disrespect is likely to send him in to a fury yet again. In addition, if his summoner ever shows a sign of fear at any point in the proceedings, Beleth will take notice and lash out. He has a wide variety of powers, and was apparently originally of the angelic order of the "Powers". He and Gaap despise each other over past grievances.
