    Looking pretty sweet AJ. Definitelly inspired by Mirror's Edge, but that's not a bad thing as long as it retains the feel of the original Beyond Good & Evil, the exploration and open feel of the whole thing that is.

    My first sense says fake, but I guess it's possible.  See some nice ambient occlusion going on, if I didn't see some shadow mapping texels, I'd say fake for sure.  Looks graphically ambitious, if it's real we'll know at E3.

    It looks nothing like BG&E...but it STILL looks awesome!!!


    I'm just hoping like Hell that it doesn't turn into a gun-toting Assassin's Creed.  BG&E was all about non-combative sneaking and such.  I know Michel Ancel will do right by the original, but I'm just scared that he might be trying to make the game something that it isn't supposed to be.

    Fake is certainly a possibility, but I can't say i've ever seen a fake this believable. The variation of the jumping and stuff seems impossible in a videogame, but at the same time it seems like it would be ridiculously hard for only a few people to animate all of that

    Watching it a few more times over, it looks like it's more of a trailer than it is actual gameplay.  I could easily be wrong about that, but regardless, that's how it looks.


    We'll see.  One thing that I'm a bit disappointed by from the footage is that...well...the fantasy setup seems to have been nixed.  I mean, if you notice the ox in the video, it's just that:  an ox.  Nothing crazy or special.  Also...no alien beings anywhere.  =  (

    The first game had some regular animals too, if I remember correctly.  At least there was a regular dog at the lighthouse.

    I'm pulling a heavy Assassin's Creed vibe from this video.

    Yeah. I'm wondering if they are using the engine from the first Assassin's creed. Maybe there will be some technology sharing.
    Remember the third installment int the AC triology is likely to be set in 2012, and they will need guns.

    IGN just put the video on their site, which tells me that this video is official for two reasons:

    1. They dont (ever) seem to report on rumors that dont turn out to be true (after all, they have the inside track)
    2. When they do report on something that is unconfirmed, (like the PSP Go) something comes out within the next month or two that validates them. (There have been two huge exceptions: Halo DS and Kid Icarus, but neither had this level of proof)
