Africa is a popular setting for games because of its many varied climates and distinctive wildlife, but also its reputation for political upheaval and violence.
The room in the house where sleeping and other activities take place. It is also the place where clothes are stored and are likely to be taken off. For some people it is the place where they do the least and most strenuous activities.
A place where cars and other possessions are kept.

Home is where the heart is, and a good place to go back to when you want some rest. A home can also be a good place to save your game, change your clothes, and change your options.
A kitchen is found in many game for purposes of food preparation and storage. People may eat there too.
The living room is the place in the house you're most likely to "hang out" in. It usually has a couch, chairs, and most importantly TV's, VCR's, stereos, and video game consoles and games.

Seattle, Washington, or the Emerald City, is the largest city in the Pacific Northwest region of the US. The Seattle area is home to many tech and game industry companies, and has been the setting for several games.
In 1991, Somalia descended into turmoil, factional fighting, and anarchy. In May 1991, northern clans declared an independent Republic of Somaliland that now includes the administrative regions of Awdal, Woqooyi Galbeed, Togdheer, Sanaag, and Sool. Known internationally for being a lawless land and for being the base of sea pirates.
The United States serves as the location or the back-story of countless video games. It also plays host to some of the largest game development studios and publishers in the world.
When trains aren't objects, they're usually locations. Famous train sequences include the subway ride in Final Fight, and the haunted train ride in Blood, which required you to sabotage the engine to get to the next level.
Some games take place in North America, but do not specifically name the city or even country. In most cases, it is assumed that they are talking about the United States.
