Stayed up all night to watch this live, even after the 3 hour pushback. Loved that you did this, Alex. I started watching during AGDQ 2013, and after seeing all of the GB shirts in the crowd, it was weirdly awesome to see GB make an actually appearance at one. And even better that you stuck around for a bit.

Oh, and anyone who hasn't watched the Tetris run above, do yourself a favor and do so right now.

If you're wondering why I recorded it with twitch chat, it's because unlike the video archive, the chat is something that is lost to time once it's over. When I go back and watch these, I'm a little sad that I don't get the full live stream experience. So it's more for my personal gratification than anything else. :) Often times things that I don't notice at all when watching the video by itself become huge running jokes in twitch chat, and I like getting swept up in the excitement (toxic as it might be sometimes).

Also my friends who were in the Tetris video personally requested that I record the chat so they could go back and watch it later, and I just left it running all night since I knew Alex was going to be playing later.

You're extra work is appreciated. That's how I like to experience streams (especially GB streams) as well.

    Oh, hell yeah.

But Blasto was part of the block? I liked the game, man. The aliens would jump out from behind cover, the AI was so advanced.

And for the hell of it, here's the chat showing the best and worst of the internet at the same time!

@azhp: Umm you don't happen to have the Phantasmagoria w/ Chat video? I would love to relive that with the reactions from chat along with Vinny and Dave.

I wish! I actually only started doing this for this event, but I wasn't even a premium member when they did Phantasmagoria. Definitely one of my favorite videos though.

Yeah, Twitch chat during GDQs is a fucking horror. All the racist/whatever-ist comments you could possibly imagine within a minute's time. Fuck that place. The IRC channel is p chill though.

The worst thing is that due to insomnia I woke up early this morning and couldn't go back to sleep, the silver lining here was that it was literally about 10 minutes before Alex was on. It was a great way to start a Thursday earlier than I wanted to! Awesome to see some GB hype in the chat too! Totally awesome that you guys all did this.

@yummytreesap: i like the goofy/insane part of twitch chat but if only there were a way to distill it from the overwhelming ugliness. Oh well.
