Was really surprised to see it on Steam's upcoming games' list considering it wasn't advertised anywhere to be on anything but 360 and PS3. It's now available to pre-purchase for $40.

I kinda liked what I saw in the QL, so might pick this up at some point.

I am delighted to see Sega porting more games over to PC. This is from the guys who make the Yakuza games right?

Right.................? Hot damn, I really wish there was actually any chance whatsoever of that series coming to PC.

Guys, you should really buy this game, just saying. I already own it on 360 and I might just buy it on Steam when it comes out because it's that good.

I really want to buy this just to see the crazy story. I'm not really crazy about the gameplay. I can probably wait until the summer sale in July.

The developer Devil's Details is doing the port. Their "Projects" page on their .biz website is not giving me any confidence that the port will be any good.

The fact that they did a bunch of games that we've never heard of doesn't mean that they can't do a decent port.

oh nice, 40$ isn't a bad price either. It'd be cool if they layered physx on top of the game, seems like blasting robots to pieces would benefit from some PhysX but i doubt they would put that much work in a port.

But their steam pages credits them with Sonic Generations. Which was a pretty good port from what I heard.

Soooo this game came out today....  very stealthy release.   Judging by the Steam Forums there's no FOV setting, mouse problems, menu... usual console port problems.     There's a demo too if you guys want to try it out before buying.  I played demo myself... mouse acceleration was really bad... definately playable with a controller though.

The FOV thing isn't so small that my mind is imploding, so it's tolerable. Mouse problems, yeah.... I can fortunately cheat it a little through my mouse's sensitivity options so for me it was tolerable. Menu.... wow.... wow. K so in the config my thing was set up to show directions for a Xbox controller by default. When I went out then back on keyboard (you have to scroll down on the config) it uses wasd (navigation on menu), 'f' (back) and 'space' (select).... mad. Also who put Reload on the middle mouse button instead of 'r'??? But after changing the controls for a bit I've begun to find the gameplay to be 'Good'. I'm actually enjoying playing it.

But, if you can somehow get past the mouse look thing (putting points into accuracy made it a lot more bearable because at least it shoots where you're pointing) the I recommend the game because.. its really bloody interesting, and slightly funny, then its really serious, then children are about to shoot you cos' they have no future.... Deep man... deep. Its even more surprisingly interesting than Singularity was.

EDIT: (Dumb grammar and sentence structure fail)

Been playing the hell out of the game this weekend, I think it's great, had pre-ordered it on GMG for $33 or whatever awhile back and had totally forgot about it. I played with a gamepad from the start, so I haven't had any of the control issues or anything. Game looks good on the PC, runs well for me, and seems like a pretty good length.

Yeah, there a pretty wide variety of enemies. I think it something like 30 total at least.

Blasted through the game yesterday [on PC], about 10 hour campaign (on medium difficulty setting).

Main reason I got it for PC is that I wanted to play it with Mouse/Keyboard, but ... I strongly recommend anyone thinking about getting it to use a gamepad instead. M+KB menu navigation is mapped to rather illogical keys: Enter is "open menu" (like you'd expect to be escape), F is "back" in menus and space is "OK", can be remapped but then you also remap in-game actions. I also had a lot of problems with slowdowns and stuff - and worst of all, input lag - which especially made quick-time events almost impossible to perform.

Voice control worked reasonably well (and was pretty interesting, despite being rather limited and a bit slow). I thought interacting with my team was pretty interesting, though I'm pretty curious about how much the story branches (or doesn't), as it feels like parts of what happened was very much influenced by my decisions in places.

There's a fair variety to enemies. The combat never felt like a chore - even the sections that felt rather unfair/difficult.

Fun game, pretty interesting story, but really bad quick-time events (though there are only 3-5 of them in the game). Last quick-time event almost had me putting the game down. Like I said, I suffered a fair bit of input lag, and some of the fast-moving quicktime events became a game of chance (the last one failed 8 times before I managed to get past it). I enjoyed myself, except for a few moments of frustration. I may give it another playthrough on a higher difficulty - though the idea of going through those quicktime events again is not very appealing.

Oh, and a tip: In the configuration tool, there's a setting for showing either Keyboard-buttons prompts or Gamepad prompts. Make sure to set it to whatever you are using, or you'll end up being confused when it asks you to push RB on your keyboard, as I was, initially :)

It's a port, and a pretty poor one - but despite that the game is fully playable and pretty good :)
