I was thinking about this contest these guys are holding that require you to change your motto, sign up for a website, play the demo, and get 7 friends to do the same.  For that, you are entered into a contest where one group of 8 people will each win 8000 microsoft points and a free download of Bionic Commando Rearmed (that's 64000 points and free downloads divided between 8 people).  Because of this amazingly genius move (in my opinion), they get free publicity from games press sites advertising this lottery drawing, the prize of which does not change regardless of how many people enter.  Not only that, but they get people to play a demo of their game, advertise it on their Xbox Live profile (regardless of whether or not they actually like the game I might add), and get at least 7 of those initial people's friends to do the same.  They are getting hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars worth of advertising for what amounts to $800 in microsoft points and 8 copies of a game that costs them literally pennies to give away.  Whoever thought of this better get a promotion and a fat bonus because damn, what a smart move.

Yep. Capcom's an awfully big company. An awfully big company with a large amount of very savvy marketing people.

Capcom marketing has been on fire lately.  These two trailers are works of genius:

Capcom seems to be understanding what music to put into trailers now.
