For some reason no one seems to be talking about this yet, but this has got to be one of the best lines in a video game ever.
So here's what happened:

I'm fighting that worm boss that we've seen over and over in videos. When you first enter the area, Super Joe says, "There's no way out, you'll just have to fight it." And Nathan replies "My pleasure." After that, I go to fight the boss, and promptly died because I suck.

Second time around, I'm not paying much attention b/c I'm waiting for the fight to start (you can't skip cutscenes in this game), and I hear Super Joe say "There's no way out. You'll just have to fuck it." At this point, I'm thinking, wtf, am I hallucinating? But sure enough, I looked up, and while the subtitle on the screen for Nathan's response still read "My pleasure," Nathan didn't actually say that. All he said was "Um..."

So I know I didn't just imagine it. I tried dying about six more times to see if Joe would say that again, but he didn't. Has anyone else encountered this?

Now I REALLY want to play this game. lmao.

I don't understand what fucking a giant worm would accomplish!

Cool, those kind of changes to dialogue are neat.

your not losing your mind I just got that same dialog and did a double take.  Nathan's response of "Ummm... ok?" was CLASSIC.

This change in dialogue was mentioned in one of the Giant Bomb vids about Commando, too. So you're not hallucinating, unless it's some crazy group hallucination. Which would be cool, too.

Yeah, i must say i really do love this game. i just beat it 5 mins ago. Im starting my hard play through right now!

Yeah, I definitely just heard it. It was my second try fighting it on hard mode.

I was playing through on Normal mode when I came across this (beat the game literally just about 20 mins ago. and already thinking there's going to be a sequel).  Much like some of the others, I came in on my first try and got my arse kicked because I couldnt figure out what the hell I was supposed to do when the worm tossed me into the air (figured it out during my third fight).  So, I died and I come swinging back for my second try and as I land, I reach over for my creme soda thats on the table and decide to take a drink while the dialog is running...BIG MISTAKE on my part.  All of a sudden Joe breaks out with the "There's no way out, you'll just have to fuck it..." line and I instantly died laughing, shot creme soda out of my nose and all over my LCD screen, fell off into the floor laughing, dropped my controller, and promptly died yet again because I got knocked off into the irradiated zone while I was literally on the floor laughing my arse off XD. 

Truth be told, Im still laughing and it's not necessarily at the line itself, so much as it was Spencer's repsonse to it of "Ummmmmm" And of course the line preceeding the whole thing really puts things into perspective when you think about it...

Spencer: "Whoa, is that a big life bar or are you just happy to see me?" Then Joe's line of:

Joe: "There's no way out, you'll just have to fuck it..."

Spencer: "Ummm?"

I wonder if that dialog was add libbed and they just decided to keep it as an "easter egg"? lol

Wow that's awesome lol, I might have to rent this after all because of all the positive feedback I've heard about it.

Dude, that is the greatest line ever, and I haven't even heard it yet...but I can imagine how it might sound.  That's just...incredible.  I don't know how the game plays because the demo is multiplayer only and I have no live at the moment...but I'm still interested.

Jeff mentioned it in his text review of the game, and I mentioned it in a separate thread.  As far as I know, this has probably been talked about more than anything else in the game!!!  It was definitely a LOL moment for me...literally.  There are a couple of other times that he'll say completely different and random things.

That reminds me of Halo 3, when you had the IWHBYD skull activated. Sometimes, during cutscenes, the dialogue would change for the better. Right at the beginning, when the black dude says all seriously "Then they must love the smell of green!" he said "Then they must love the smell of bad-ass! And Arbiter, I left you a present, and I'm walkin' away!"

See, I knew I heard him say that!

I was all like "What just happened?" because he never said it again.

That was a cool boss

He also says when you see the giant enemy crab:

"That's the single most badass thing I've ever seen."
but if you die:
"That's the second biggest crab I've ever seen."

There are a few others spattered around that are a little more subtle as well. I like, also, that you can press the look button during Groeder'a dialogue if you die against him the first time and Spencer will tell him to shut the fuck up.
