    Bioshock is Essentially SS2

After buying this game in a discount, I was very pleased with the graphical performance and the overall feel of bioshock. After a few hours, I realized that bioshock is essentially system shock 2. Cross out all the names, everything that was electro powered then, is steam powered now. Also, SS2 difficulty was somewhere between difficult to impossible. 2k realizing this decided that it would be better to tweak the difficulty, decided it would be appropriate to add all the things you need, remove death penalties, and have you stumble on ammo, plasmids and whatever you may need. This, even on hard difficulty took the difficult straight out of the game, and also extracted part of the horror or whatever BS was aiming for. However, with that being said, BS is by no means a bad game, it is simply very easy, has no replay value, and also no multiplayer. So whatever experience you get from BS lasts a few hours. Also, BS has a world to explorer, since its kind of free world. But the game does not like you to explor it, with an arrow showing you where to go, and constant hints... it just seem that 2k dont want you to explorer the atmosphere that bioshock holds, and it does. Overall BS is definatly not a bad game, it just could have been a better game.

I was really impressed by the unusual setting, stunning graphics, and interesting concepts. I watched all the trailers and I was pretty sure I had an idea of what Bioshock will be like when released. However, I had NO IDEA just how amazing it would be when it came out. The moment I came up from the depths of the ocean gasping for air, surrounded in burnin...

A philosophical masterpiece to remember. 0

Unless you have been living on the dark side of the Moon in recent years, it is likely that you have already heard of BioShock. It generated enormous hype before launch, and has now gained one of the largest aggregate critical review scores ever (according to Metacritic with 96 out of 100, coincidentally the same as Half-Life 2). Whilst the game does have a number of minor flaws, including a final lacklustre ending and sporadic difficultly problems, it is very clear that BioShock is still a fant...
