Black Iron Tarkus can be summoned for the battle against the Iron Golem in Sen's Fortress. His summon sign can be found in the tower at the top of Sen's Fortress, just to the right of the fog gate.
Tarkus possesses immense strength. His armor and weapons are incredibly heavy, "unwieldy to all but Tarkus himself." The design of his armor suggests that he may be a Knight of Berenike. Tarkus is especially effective during the Iron Golem boss battle, and is capable of defeating it without player intervention.
The Crestfallen Merchant refers to Tarkus as one of the many adventurers who have managed to clear the Fortress, but who have been unsuccessful in their journey through Anor Londo. Tarkus's armor can be found on a corpse at the entrance to the Painted World of Ariamis.
