Blackwell Academy, a senior high school located in Arcadia Bay, Oregon, is a school specializing in the Sciences and the Arts that is led by principal Ray Wells.
History
The school was built upon old Native American land which was shared between the natives and early colonial settlers in the area according to Ms. Grant. In 1910, the academy was founded by Jeremiah Blackwell from whom the school takes its name. The motto of the school is "The future needs excellence", as can be seen beside Jeremiah's statue found at the from of the building.
In the Two Whales Diner there is a flyer for Blackwell Academy boasting "Global Excellence in Arts and Science for over a hundred years and counting." and offering free campus tours every third Saturday.
Blackwell Academy is partially owned and financially supported by the Prescott Family.
