    Overview

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend (known in the arcade version as BlazBlue: Chronophantasma 2.0, also known as BlazBlue: Chronophantasma Extend) is a 2D sci-fi fantasy fighting game developed and released by Arc System Works for arcades (digitally via the NESiCAxLive service for PC-based Taito Type X² hardware) in Japan on October 9, 2014.

A revised version of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, Chrono Phantasma Extend adds two characters (new character Celica A. Mercury and a revised Lambda-11), new stages and BGM, a minor addition to the Overdrive system, and minor adjustments to all characters.

The game later received home versions for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita, released in Japan by Arc System Works (on April 23, 2015), in North America by Aksys Games (on June 30, 2015), and in Europe by pQube (on October 23, 2015). It was later released for the PC (digitally via Steam) on March 2, 2016. These versions further revamps the story mode (with new scenarios), with the PS4 and PS3 versions supporting cross-play.

    Gameplay

The gameplay is nearly identical to that of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, with one new addition:

    • Players can now cancel a blockstun into an Overdrive (known as Overdrive Raid, or Guard Cancel Overdrive). This version has a longer start-up animation and, similar to regular Cancel Overdrives, has its timer halved.

    Characters

    New Additions

    • Celica A. Mercury - The kind-hearted sister of one of the Six Heroes from an earlier time, brought back by Kokonoe as a time-displaced duplicate. She is accompanied by her robot bodyguard, Minerva (which is a clone of Carl Clover's Nirvana, as she was its original owner), who assists with most of her attacks. Her Drive, "Minerva", allows her to perform special combo attacks with Minerva.
    • Lambda-11 (stylized as Λ-11, or Λ No. 11) - Returns from BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, now revamped to play slightly differently to her palette-swap counterpart Nu-13. Her Drive, "Sword Summoner EX", allows her to launch a variety of sword projectiles at different angles (which now multi-hit automatically).
