The second main installment of the BlazBlue series of fighting games, continuing Ragna's tale of manipulated time while revamping some of the original game's gameplay systems.
Word has it that Relius Clover, the insane father of the slightly-less crazy Carl, is going to be inserted into BBCS2 as a playable character with a 1.04 patch. Loke-testing begins August 11, with a release scheduled for winter. Not sure if this means it will happen for the console versions of CS2 or just the handhelds. Or both. Apparently Relius will be playable with Ignis in tow (robot girl similar to Carl's sister Ada/Nirvana). No word on if there will be any major differences in playstyle.
In any case, I guess this means that Arcsys is going to continue milking Continuum Shift for a bit longer instead of going forth with a full-on sequel just yet.
Carl mostly hides behind his doll and starts his mixup with the help of her pressure. I hope they'll go different route with Relius having him slightly bulkier than Carl while the doll is super fragile. Little bit of Eddie style, busting out that doll only when he has his opponent locked down.
Shaky-cam footage of Relius in loke-test action. He seems similar to Carl, but as far as I can see can do a lot more on his own. More damage, longer reach, and even has a spinny move that can be used to sidestep attacks. Ignis seems to have much less staying power than Ada/Nirvana, but apparently just complements Relius' own attacks. No word on any possible clap loops yet.
I'm always willing to throw stupid amounts of money at BlazBlue, so I'll be getting this. They said they're adding even more stuff for BB:CS2+ on Vita, right? That'd better come to consoles..
