Overview
Blaze was originally a background character in The Pit II stage, fighting another character many fans call Hornbuckle. In Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, where Blaze made his first playable appearance, it was revealed that he is an elemental on a quest until he was attacked by a group of holy men. These holy men were serving the long dead Dragon King, Onaga, and forced Blaze to guard the last Great Dragon egg. After the egg hatched Blaze was able to return to his original quest.
His quest was to watch all of the fighters in the Mortal Kombat realms and when they became too powerful Blaze was to summon Taven and Daegon, the sons of an Elder God. One of these two would then need to defeat Blaze in Mortal Kombat and gain the power of a god and stop the armageddon the other fighters were creating.
Endings
Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance
After years of enslavement to guard the molten incubation chamber, Blaze is freed after Onaga's Dragon Egg hatches. He then sets out to finish the task he was undertaking before being captured by Onaga's holy men.
Mortal Kombat Unchained
Blaze completes the first of his duties, then begins the next part: lure the warriors of Mortal Kombat to the final battle and have them challenge him in order to attain godlike power. The arrogance could be their downfall as only the sons of Edenia, Taven and Daegon could unleash the true purpose of Blaze.
Special Moves
- Steam Roller: Rolls over his opponent, crushing them.
- Quake Slam: Blaze smashes the ground and makes fire shoot up from under his opponent.
- Melting Lava: Blaze sinks in a puddle of lava and rises up out of another one behind his opponent.
