Has anyone here been successful in doing co-op in a Chalice dungeon? My friend and I tried a few days ago using all the normal methods and failed. Things work flawlessly in the main game world, but we haven't been able to make anything work inside the Chalice dungeons.

I've spent the last couple of days trying to get the Short Root Ritual Chalice to see if that will work. We're trying that out tomorrow. But I'm not even sure that using that Chalice will even work with the password settings or if it just looks randomly for a co-op partner.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Typically what my friend and I do is:

1. Make sure our Network passwords are the same. Make it complicated enough to avoid potential duplicates (This is crucial).

2. My friend who wants to join the game will ring his small resonant bell.

3. I wait about 5 seconds, then I ring my beckoning bell.

Also, make sure both players haven't left the game running in rest mode for an extensive amount of time. The same glitch that makes the game easier also affects the functionality of co-op mode. At least in our case it did.

The Short Root Chalice works. I've used it to invade the Chalice Dungeons and to help co-op.

So our issue turned out to be that we were both resuming the game from Suspend mode, which apparently breaks all the multiplayer stuff. We've been able to co-op in chalice dungeons using the normal methods.

Oddly enough, I haven't been able to get the Short Root Ritual Chalice to work for anything, though. Oh well.

I used it on day one. Worked perfectly fine for me and two friends to summon each other into our worlds.
