Overview

BMX XXX is a third-person BMX stunt riding game developed by Z-Axis and published by Acclaim (under their "AKA Acclaim" label) for the Xbox on November 12, 2002, the PlayStation 2 on November 19, 2002, and the GameCube on November 26, 2002.
Originally developed as part of the Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX series, BMX XXX become a spin-off once Dave Mirra himself dropped his endorsement and took legal action against Acclaim due to the game's contents. The game is infamous for its reliance on vulgar humor and gratuitous nudity (with an unlockable option to make their female created character topless and unlockable videos with strippers) and is the last sports-related game from Z-Axis.
Despite the PS2 version receiving censorship (most notably covering up the nudity with censor bars), all versions of the game were not stocked in most IEMA-compliant retailers in North America. It was released in Australia with all sexual content removed entirely, and is also one of the few retail-released non-pornographic games to be prohibited from being streamed on Twitch.
