We are aware of this and are working with production and distribution at ramping up to catch up with demand. There will be more copies of Borderlands available on shelves as early as Thursday or Friday at many retailers.

The PlayStation 3 SKU issues on the west coast are mostly regional and can be addressed by reallocation. We are confident that will happen quickly.

I had none. Got my copy yesterday, playing it right now actually.

Co-worker in the Seattle area couldn't find it at two different Best Buy's, Target, or Walmart.  I picked it up at Best Buy earlier in the day but saw 5 others doing the same.

This is clearly a scam to get stupid people who will panic to buy the game...

Ya...o wait that's because they delayed PC version for a week...

I won't need to worry... getting mine through Steam later.

Yep. Up here in Edmonton everywhere that had that $40 sale was sold out by 2pm. Oh well, I'm still waiting for my PC version.

Well it's not even out in the UK yet so yes, I've had trouble finding the game but it's not for the same reasons.

Doesn't seem like a marketing strategy at all for me. When I went to buy it at Best Buy they were sold out, and Futureshop only had 2 copies left(one of which I bought).

Its out on friday in Europe so I hope not or I will be a sad panda this weekend

I couldn't imagine any shortages in the PS3 version of any game.

I couldn't get a copy at Best Buy in San Francisco yesterday, but I managed to get one at the same location today. I'm willing to blame incompetence on the part of the staff as opposed to lack of supply though.

It's sold out everywhere in canada probably. But that's due to wal-mart having it for 39.99 $. This caused places like bestbuy and futureshop to match the price therefore selling out as well. I'm glad I went in yesterday early in the morning. 39.99 $ is a steal.

 I will have my copy Oct. 26 when it unlocks on Steam.

Opened Steam and there it was. Forza 3 has arrived and is keeping me busy til next week.

picked up a copy at lunch yesterday, they had them stacked.  Keep us updated on Lord 187X adventures.  When you describe borderlands that way, why the fuck would he not buy it?  Post apocalyptic wasteland with money and guns?  Hellz yeah bitchez.

Now the rest of you will have to wait like me until friday....
 

I checked the stock at Best Buy for several different zip codes this morning when I read the story and there is no shortage in the Washington D.C. area.

its readily available at every EB, and Best buy near my house. no worries however because i am playing it on a PC Via Steam.

I walked into Best Buy, got to the 360 section saw about 20 copies, checked out went home, played till 2am now I here at work getting off in 15mins and I am 110% sure that when I get home I am gonna play some Borderlands!
 
And I am on the East Coast everyone seemed to have it around here.

Just walked into the local GS about 2 hours ago, picked up a copy, no problem.  Didnt even pre-order.  If there is a shortage it isn't around these parts.

I tried to pick it up at Fry's yesterday and they didn't have it available so I had to go to Walmart to pick it up (Best Buy wasn't open yet). At Walmart there was definitely plenty of copies available and apparently had been available since midnight.

The 360 version is selling out at stores up here (upstate New York). I checked Target, they sold out yesterday, checked Walmart today, just bought their last 360 copy. The PS3 version is plentiful at both retailers though.

We had about 8 copies come in at the GameStop I work at, 4 reserved, and 4 extras, and it turns out two of the extras had some scratches on them... Brand new. Needless to say, my manager was pissed, and we sent them back to our warehouse posthaste. I fear this may be a contribution to the 'shortage' in stores.

Borderlands has sold out of many major retailers here in Minnesota. I pre-ordered mine but a few friends came over last night to watch and play after they failed to get a copy from the GameStop, Target, Walmart and Best Buy in our suburban city outside of Saint Paul. Xbox 360 not PS3 copies.

If anyone else has checked, Ice T's profile now lists Borderlands with 0G, so I think we can rest easy now.

Sigh, still waiting for my copy from NewEgg... they have not shipped it yet. :(

I couldn't find a copy because I dropped my $60 on the ground for it when the attendant said they would drop my copy of Borderlands at the same time....and, well...the attendant picked up my money and then disappeared!

Picked up a copy earlier today from Best Buy, and they only had one 360 copy and two PS3 copies left on the shelves. I guess that might constitute a shortage, or it might just mean that they aren't willing to give up any of the insane amount of shelf space that they give EA Sports titles...seriously do they need to keep that many copies of Fight Night and Madden in stock?
