Whenever I'm playing this game and I run into Scythids on foot, it grosses and creeps me out so much that I almost want to stop playing. ASdIFJASIDFJ
If I'm in a car, I can run them over and it's just fine, but on foot...when they start to fly or the big orange ones come? *shuts off 360*

One of the progenitors of the "looter shooter" sub-genre, Borderlands puts players in a rag-tag team of "Vault Hunters" in search of vast alien riches as they fight hostile wildlife, gangs of bandits, and a mega-corp's private military.
Oh my God, Scythids.
i find them more annoying than anything they get alot bigger on your second playthrough so look forward to that
I was pretty bugged by them (no pun intended) too for some reason. The tiny ones were fine, but the giant ones with like... claws really creeped me out. Not so much that I wouldn't burn through them on foot, but still.
Spiderants, however, were fine in my book.
That's weird. I never knew people could actually gross out over something in a videogame, let alone Borderlands. But yeah they do get a lot bigger in the second playthrough and more tougher. I've found that shotguns are the best weapon to deal with them. Don't use Sledge's Shotgun though since the accuracy is terrible and therefore you need to run up to them to use it effectively (and I'm pretty sure you don't want to do that).
Yea dudes those things kinda gave me the heebie jeebie's has well. But it was satisfying as shit to run them over and watch them explode, or obliterate them with a shotgun as mentioned =P
"Same here. Spiderants are just fine. They piss me off though.I was pretty bugged by them (no pun intended) too for some reason. The tiny ones were fine, but the giant ones with like... claws really creeped me out. Not so much that I wouldn't burn through them on foot, but still.

When I fought Mothrakk, seeing him fly around kind of creeped me out as well (I have a completely un-manly phobia of moths and butterflies) and even when he was dead, it was weird to go up to him on the ground.
" Well, yeah. I have Sledge's shotgun, so I take great pleasure in bashing the tiny ones. But as soon as they get huge and flying, I retreat to the vehicles. "Motherfucker! He didn't drop his Shotgun. Just a shitty pistol!
I've not run into Scythids yet but if they're amything like the radroaches from Fallout 3 I will hate them with a passion. Eurgh. Cockroaches.
Hmm. Scythids are pretty weird, I guess, so I really never deal with them without "Sweet Caroline" (my car).
Yeah, usually I drop a turret and let that wipe them all out. Problem solved, with little muss or fuss!
lol, glad I'm not the only one creeped out by Scythids, I have no problem killing them but they do make my skin crawl from time to time. The spiderants and crabworms don't bother me at all though, I guess since they have a more alien-like design.
the giant ones creeped me out on foot, the rest i didnt really have a problem with
that freaking building next to the speedway *shudder*
