    Overview

Bosconian '87 is an action game developed by Binary Design and published by Mastertronic for the Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, and ZX Spectrum platforms. It was licensed to Mastertronic by Namco, in agreement that also included Gaplus and Motos.

The game plays similar to base Bosconian, but with a number of tweaks to gameplay. The player is now limited by a fuel supply, which can be replenished by fuel pickups in level. They are also given a supply of screen-clearing bombs to use in play. Bases will fire missiles from their central port right from the start of the game, whereas in the arcade version they only begin doing so in later levels. Most noticeably, the ability to simultaneously fire in two directions comes from an in-game powerup item.

The Commodore 64 version of Bosconian '87 is an infamously bad game.
