Overview
A top-down, dungeon-crawling, action RPG originally released for the NEC PC-98 and FM Towns (Platform) computers in 1991. It was later ported to the SNES console in 1994, a localized version of which was released in North America (Location) in February 1995. A version was also released for the NEC PC Engine CD-ROM² console. Nihon Falcom, the developers of Ys (Franchise) and Dragon Slayer (Franchise), also created the Brandish (Franchise) series. The original computer versions use a mouse-controlled point andamp;amp;amp; click interface, much like later PC (Platform) action RPGs such as the Diablo (Franchise) series. In 2009, a heavily revamped version of Brandish was released for the PSP in Japan known as Brandish: The Dark Revenant. It also became available outside the Japan as a downloadable title in 2014.
