Is anyone else as excited as me for Brink?
I have to say I am extremely excited about Brink. It shows all the good qualities of a great First Person Shooter and the guns sound incredible. The art is absolutely beautiful and the game looks like it's going to KILL on the PC. The only thing that worries me, is the fact that I may be part of a select few who have high hopes for this game, only to find out when the game is released that it is extremely janky and has multiple issues with gameplay. Am I crazy?! Or does this truly look like something worth getting hyped about? Looking forward to your input :-)
I'm curious more than excited. The fact that it has links to Bethesda is a big plus as far as I'm concerned, and Splash Damage have made some interesting games in the past, so there is definitely some promise. At the moment though there is just to little information out there to really put any major hope in it. When something new is released that really goes into detail about what the game will be like, I will start paying more attention.
Like I said though, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I fear I have placed too much trust into BRINK.
I am crazy excited for this game, as I'm hoping it will be the next game that gets me back into FPS's on the PC. I haven't really enjoyed another FPS on the PC since Counter-Strike/Counter-Strike: Source days, but I quit playing that. And I've clearly demonstrated to myself that games like Modern Warfare 2 are not for me.
The mix of parkour and gunplay sound very appealing, along with its unique and gorgeous art style.
So yes, I'm excited for it.
You know, I was really excited but as time passed I've thought less and less about it.
I dunno, it just seems to have faded into the background for me in the last 6 months or so.
I know too little about it to really be excited.
Still bummed out that there won't be female characters to play as/customize. :/
I'm more intrigued than excited. The new "parkour" movement in the game. Vaulting and sliding with ease, if it works, could had a lot of options to play plus look visually cool. But, I've only seen videos so I reserve judgement until I am able to try a demo. Of course, if there is no demo then I'll have to rely on the honesty of a GB Quick Look. I can't get excited because fundamentally it is still an FPS and there are a ton of them coming out between now and early 2011. The movement system is what makes this different. If that doesn't live up to expectations then it might as well be Bulletstorm or any other shooter.
Yep :(
Both Brink and Rage look fantastic yet similar. a call of duty meets borderlands meets fallout 3 and New Vegas. I think Ill get both of em.
I'm very excited. Lots of customization, and they have said many times how much you'll be able to do with SMART, down to "if you couldn't interact with an object in the environment, it was taken out."
I'm cautiously excited after hearing Garnett Lee talk about the single player. Plus, they keep saying the multiplayer is the single player, which just would make it co-op (like Borderlands), which I would be fine with, except when I first saw that game I thought it was like TF2 with some parkour--so anything else other than that is just sort of disappointing.
I dunno, we'll see.
Hm, I feel like I should be, but I'm not. I guess I've already played both Mirror's Edge and Borderlands =/
I'm curious/excited about the game. I hope the SMART system, 'genre' ender etc. aren't just marketing tools and there's actually some substance to them. By substance, I mean that they actually do add to the gaming experience. They are right about one thing for sure though.....when you see a screenshot of Brink, you KNOW it's Brink. It has a very unique and beautiful style about it.
However, I really hope this doesn't end up as an 'all hype-all gripe' kind of game.
I am excited for this one. COD 4 took the FPS and elevated it to the next level. I kept up with WAW, MW2, and BO, and while I still enjoy those games, I feel they are becoming stale. With more fluid movement and integrating multiplayer into a campaign, Brink could raise the fps bar again. Or it could be a total bust, hard to tell until you get it in your hands. Overall I want to be optimistic and be excited.
You know that feeling you get when something is so fucking cute you want to reach your hand down its throat and fingerfuck its innards until it's gushing blood everywhere while you cackle maniacally at all the cuteness you are pulling out of it?
THAT is how excited I am about Brink.
I have interest in Brink, but I will most likely rent it first before deciding if I would purchase it or not.
