English language video games are predominantly written in American English--even for non-American English speaking territories--as the US accounts for the biggest demographic of video game players, and it is often viewed as being unnecessary to cover both forms of English.
Can confirm that both of these DQ games make use of British English spellings and British accented voice acting.
