I just saw Jeff taking about this on Twitter. I thought he was joking.

The only explanation I can think of is that the devs saw all the Bubsy jokes on the internet and didn't get that they were jokes. "Look at all these people talking about Bubsy! Easy money, gentlemen!"

Wow man, that gameplay looks pretty bad. Is it really gonna be that slow? Also I know they pretty much always are, but the youtube comments are fairly savage.

Looking up black forest games it looks like they did make that cool giana sisters reboot. Seems like their in the business of trying to make reboots out of bad franchises.

Someone mistook internet jokes for genuine enthusiasm about Bubsy and now we're all going to be punished for it.

If Sonic gets a million second chances then Busby deserves one. Right?

Ah Black Forest Games, it's nice to see that they can get some sort of work to pay the bills these days. Having supported the Kickstarter for their Giana Sisters reboot I also got to see them struggle with some failed Kickstarters and other projects since. It's been sad to see. At the same time, having played most of Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, I can't say it gives me any confidence that this game can be anything but "passable" in terms of gameplay. Though that much is probably obvious from the trailer as well.

Oh well, Bubsy coming back is a really dumb idea but if that means some people can get some work then maybe that's good enough.

That game on Sega Genesis was... not good. I played it for maybe twenty minutes and then never played it again. Still have it somewhere in the closet.
