Bungie have confirmed via their official website that they have three projects currently in the works.

"At the moment we do have three distinct projects underway within Bungie - some familiar, some not. Some on a closer horizon, some quite far off," they said.

One of these projects is the Halo project that was pulled from Microsoft's E3 line up at the last minute.

Bungie will be revealing some new Halo 3 Downloadable Content at this year's PAX in August; however they won't be making any announcement's regarding these projects for a while.

"For the record, we have no plans to make any big announcements or huge reveals at PAX this year.

Bungie is a great developer, glad they are moving on to non-Halo projects.

Meh, I got over Halo so if Bungie does something new hopefully it lives up to the hype.

When I first read that my jaw dropped.  I knew they had been hinting at more than one project, but three at one time was a shock.  They've grown so much since Halo and I REALLY can't wait to see what else they can make now.  Part of me is hoping for a new RTS IP from them.

Maybe we'll get lucky and one of them will be Marathon

cool. It will be good to see them make something different. something with a little more serious art style would be nice.

I assume one of those games would be multiplatform but it could be just Bungie trying to get back to its roots on the PC.  Nevertheless, I'm happy about this and I just want more games from them.

i bet at least one of those projects is related to halo because they still have some kind of deal with microsoft

Still like Halo. But really glad to see them moving on. Can't wait to see what they do next.

I don't think the title starting with "Forget Halo" is proper at all,most likely at least one of those projects is another Halo game.

Are we sure it's not Halo 4, 5 and 6?

Seriously though... Even if they continue with a Halo project, I think they would like to move away from the franchise and create something new.

Bungie has already admitted that for sure,before even making Halo 3 they said they were getting burned out of the whole thing. So if one project is indeed a Halo project,the other 2 may be either new IP's or something different(some suspect marathon,but marathon for its time is alot like halo turned out today for the most part)

Halo MMO, Halo free roaming game, and Halo racing game.

Add that to the RTS and your good to go! XD

Halo is great and all, but there is a point where its just milking the series. And I really want Bungie to do something more then Halo, because I know they can. But they have gotten themselves stuck in a spot where MS would do anything in order to get another Halo title.

I mean just look at all the Halo stuff, Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars (RTS), Halo Peter Jackson project(?), Halo books, Halo movie, and now a Halo MMO, or Halo 4? It's just too much, and Bungie is better then this.

Lol, I was never saying they are confirmed, I was speaking in general, what could happen with Halo. MS has said they want to 'Explore' Halo, not 'Exploit' it, but really I see no difference if they are making a bunch of new Halo games it will be exploring and exploiting the franchise.

For you to say Halo has not been milked in any way is being way too closed minded. Do you not see a Halo RTS? A Halo movie? Books? The Halo 3 limited edition pack? That is a hell of a lot of money, and MS is not going to stop because they know its their most valuable franchise to date. They are milking it, I want them to let it go and let Bungie make something else, we all know they are great developers and they can do more then just Halo...

And I thought that Bungie thought that they could ride off of Halo 3's success for the rest of their days.  :P  I'm actually interested in what else they can do besides Halo.  Of course I'm also interested in the Halo project.
