I know that this is late but i find it really strange that no one made a thread about it, so far.

The reason is that the game has made major steps in the franchise such as replacing the health regeneration with health packs that you can use manually. This also means that health bar is now back since COD2 ! They have also expanded on the characters feature that was presented back in BO3. Because now the shoulder buttons will no longer mean "Lethal Grenade" and "Non lethal Grenade" but instead they are now "health pack" and "character ability". To use a grenade whether it is lethal or non lethal you will need to pick the right character.

The game also introduce a new mode called "Heist" and it seems that the team are betting on it because it had the largest rectangle on the mode selection screen.

Heist is like CS classic mode but with a more simplified purchase screen and has perks, too. It also has the down and revive feature which is a welcome addition in my opinion for a one life mode.

I guess that these are all the new things that this game offer. Please let me know if i have forgotten any thing so that i can add it here.

I thought I'd hate the health regen but I came accustomed to it really quickly. I like how it speeds up gunfights where you or the enemy are only tagged by one or two bullets. Being able to pop the health stim to be able to engage faster and on the inverse, needing to keep the pressure on someone you didn't finish off is interesting.
You can actual equip lethal and tactical equipment like a flashbang or frag grenade, but it replaces your specialists gear (the RB/R1 for consoles).
Heist and Control are fun modes but I don't see them overtaking TDM and Domination in my regular rotation of gamemodes.

I have high hopes for the full game. I had a lot of fun with the beta and I'm excited for the Blackout beta in a few weeks, here.

I really enjoyed it, I loved BLOPS3 so I like all the class stuff. I’m glad the maps are bigger than in Infinite Warfare, I hated how easy it was to get flanked all the time. My biggest gripe is that they got rid of jet packs and wall running. That stuff was all a ton of fun and it’s kind of lame to be grounded again. That all said a big reason I get into these games is because both me and a friend of mine enjoy them and it’s a good reason to hang out.

I played on PC, and something about the refresh rate/visuals was really blurry and unpleasant. Gameplay seemed fine, but I was just so disappointed with how it felt I was put off by it. Maybe I'll try the PS4 version and see if that gels better (even though it's lower framerate)

@mustarddragon: The visuals were blurry because the graphics default to something like 70% render resolution. So it’s downscaling the visuals. Turn it up to 100 and it looks great. Why this is the default setting is completely beyond me. Frame rate however is really bad. They need a new engine for these games.

Heist sounds pretty cool! I'm a sucker for "one life" modes, but honestly haven't played Search and Destroy in quite a while. I may need to preorder in order to get access to the later betas.

I had fallen off COD for a while, but WWII sucked me back in. If Blackout is entertaining, I could totally see myself picking up BO4 instead of BFV this fall.
