So I popped in COD4 again. Man what a treat that game is. There's still thousands playing in on xbox live, so no problem finding games. The shooting just feels so good. And there's not crazy knife runners, danger close noob tubers, 7500 claymore campers... So so good. Feels so precise.

I always liked MW1 more than the second one. MW2 relied to heavily on those over the top killstreaks which resulted in player VS killstreak rewards rather than player vs player. I always preferred gun to gun combat over trying to shoot down an AC130, or a chopper, or a harrier, or a gunship...and there just wasn't enough of that in the second one

1.  There is no Danger Close in Black Ops, you might be unlucky, but I've only been noobtubed five times or so, during 13 hours of MP mayhem, and if you have Flak Jacket on it's even less of a problem.
2.  Don't like claymore campers? Have Hacker on and avoid it.
3.  Don't like knifes? I agree, but it's going to be patched even further.
 
Call of Duty 4 is still probably the better game, but there are perks to counter your problems. But hey, if you are having more fun playing COD4, obviously play that instead :)

CoD 4 is a better game, but I think the feel of the guns and the shooting in Black Ops is a lot better. The guns feel more powerful or something, it just has a nice feel.

I sold CoD4 because I thought it was kind of boring. 
 
But I guess we're just two different people.

I didn't even bother buying Blops. I just went straight for my CoD4 disc.

My friend told my CoD4 was better than the others too.... friends lie all the time.

I played MW1 for a few games couple of days before Black Ops came out and found it to still be awesome. But everyone who still plays that has so much more skill than me and I can barely remember the layout of the maps.

Modern Warfare 1 does seem to have a better multiplayer. Treyarch did take quick scoping out of Black Ops though which is good. If someone is going to use a sniper rifle they should use it how it is meant to be used.

Why do people always buy the new COD game, complain about it then go back to play a 3 year old game.  
 
Why don't you just save the $60 and stick with MW1 next year.

Out of all the games I'v played so far I think only 2 or 3 had a n00b tuber in them... thank the lord.

MW1 is still my favorite, but black ops is perhaps the most balanced multiplayer CoD game yet. Nothing can't be countered, as of right now I guess....
 
Scavenger doesn't resupply explosives- noob tubers are pretty rare now. 
Hacker is the only 3rd perk worth having- claymore campers are easily spotted
and the knifes, well maybe it's just me but I can never knife anyone, I do get stabbed alot.

mw1 is superior but bops isnt bad at all its a nice new change since i didnt buy mw2 (garbago online play)

I have played all the current COD's and I like them all. Sure some are better then others, and I admit MW1 was better. But hey, what are you going to do? Play MW1 or Blops I guess. Good thing I have Halo Reach to play when I am pissed at COD.

black ops doesn't really have noob tubers and there is black jacket. this game is so much more balanced than modern warfare 2. there are perks for countering things. 
 
the only thing that i wish they put in here was a sniper rifle like the .50 cal because world at war had one that was just like it.

Before I bought Black Ops, I tended to jump between CoD4 and WaW depending on my mood.  Now, I primarily play Black Ops but I imagine it will eventually be added to my previous rotation.
 
Also, I bought MW2 on Steam when it was released, played it for six or so hours and have yet to go back.  However, I think my lack of playing MW2 is more because I prefer CoD on consoles now and not because of the game itself.
