I'm just opening my Hardened Edition box now and I have a little card with a download code and a link to callofduty.com/founder

Then there's a sperate insert with another code to redeem my elite membership.

Does it matter which I do first? I want to make sure I don't mess it up and end up not being able to link it to the correct Gamertag.

Surprisingly their q&a section doesn't clarify this. It also doesn't help CoD Elite seems to be having internal server errors at the moment.

This is more than a bit confusing and it took me a bit to figure out myself.

Owners of the HE are guaranteed Founder Status.

Owners of the Standard Edition can only gain Founder Status by signing up for the Premium Elite Membership before November 13th.

Using the code provided on the back of the COD Elite pamphlet VIA your console will work in gaining you Founder Status as long as you use it before November 13.

If for some reason you can't do so, if by chance that someone either get's their HE late or procures one in the future, then you would use the code on the back of the card to gain your Founder Status retroactively.

The card is just a measure of insurance for your Founder Status in the case that you can't register before Nov 13th.

As far as I know Elite is a myth at this point. I mean I keep hearing about it but I have yet to actually see it.
