Has anyone else seen these? I searched GB for a topic and no one has made one about it, at least to my knowledge. So apparently they are making glasses for Modern Warfare 3 to reduce eye fatigue. Best part they are $99... Here's where I learned about them. Would anyone actually buy these?

Not nearly as bad-looking as I thought, but can you imagine what an asshole you'd look like? Playing Modern Warfare with what looks like sunglasses on? It's funny to even think about.

I own a pair of gunnar optics. They make a bunch of different styles. I can't use my computer without them anymore.

Also Jeff has Gunnars as well.

Oh the video game industry, I love you.

@CL60: You sir, have scarred me for life.

Edit: Glasses that reduce eyestrain would actually be quite nice, if it works.

They ease eye strain, don't they? As someone who often gets headaches looking at a monitor, I'd love a pair.

@Swoxx: @chrismafuchris: @scarace360: Yes they work. Like I said I can't use my computer without mine anymore. If you get eyestrain or headaches I highly recommend a pair of gunnars. They take a while to get use to since they have a yellow tint and they slightly magnify what you are looking at so looking from the lenses to out can get a little disorienting at first but you get use to it.

@CoverlessTech: Is the yellow tint annoying and/or disrupting for the game experience? I want my shit to look right

I got tons of headaches from playing the Gears 3 beta and when I go back to the first and second one I get them too, so I'd honestly considering getting these. But only if they weren't a hundred fucking bucks. Also, not the MW3 ones.

@Swoxx: Your eyes adjust so it's not really a problem. You could always adjust the colors on your monitor/tv if you find it makes to much of a difference.

@Swoxx: I know they like to show them off so if you can find a store in your area that sells them you can try them before dropping the money.

all this does is create dependence on gaming eyewear. after looking at monitors all my life I'm just fine looking at them for long periods of time. If I started wearing these, all it would do is reduce my tolerance to viewing monitors, and I would have too buy more of these as they were released, basically they're scamming us by messing with our fucking brains!

In short, if you buy any of these glasses you are a moron.

Or they don't like getting headaches and eye pain? Not everyone can look at monitors without discomfort like you. Also why would you need to keep buying more? One pair is enough, can't use more then one at a time.

Yeah, people are genetically different so they must be morons. Get out of here you clown.

Only a moron would be suckered into buying a $100 pair of sunglasses. Prescription  glasses don't even cost that much.
