If you've ever heard of the You Tube commentator XboxAhoy, and you know what he's been up to lately, you can stop reading this right now. For everyone else, you're about to get a preview of some of the video content Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty Elite will offer.

First of all, let me start by saying that Infinity Ward has stated that detailed weapon guides will be part of the free Elite service. However, it is currently unknown if that will include video guides or not. Regardless, XboxAhoy is a You Tube commentator who created a fantastic weapons guide covering every weapon available in Modern Warfare 2. He started to do the same thing for Black Ops, but shortly into that series of videos he released an announcement video saying that he had been given a huge opportunity, and that his current series would have to wait.

Here's an example of his incomplete Black Ops guide:

He was intentionally vague, because the COD Elite service had not be announced yet, and he was obviously under an NDA. Once the announcement was made, he released this video which explained the situation.

Being a fan of his work before he was given this opportunity, I think it's really cool that he is now creating official video guides for MW3. Watching his old videos should also give you a good idea of the quality you can expect from some of the COD Elite video content. Again, not sure if his videos will be premium content or not, but if you're getting the Hardened edition, you can start looking forward to his MW3 videos right now.

How did over 400 people google "+1" this, but the thread only has 25 views?

[edit] Never mind, now it's not saying that anymore. Is there a glitch on the website with how it handles google+?

Nice vids, thanks for those. For the first time, I'm seriously thinking about getting a CoD game, some of the MP videos I have seen look like loads of fun, but all of the CoD:Elite features seem to be for console players, these don't appear to be available for PC players on this front!

Infinity Ward has actually come out and recently announced that Elite will not be ready for PC players on day one. It will have to wait until after launch. On the bright side, PC users ARE getting dedicated servers. There was a recent FAQ posting about the PC version, and you can read it here: http://community.callofduty.com/thread/4682

@SpaceInsomniac: Thanks for that, though I thought it was Beachhead and not Infinity Ward that were managing the Elite and stats features.
