Wonder how long EA can hold this up
Problem ain't DICE's game, it's EA's marketing that's to blame.Man, those guys are so funny! Haha!
Not really, no. It's like watching some old warrior who knows this is going to be his last mission, and that he is in fact going to die, but instead of going out like a man, he acts like a pussy ass bitch.
I get the strange feeling that all this is gonna end up biting EA in the ass big time down the line.
Does BF3 have FFA?It only takes a couple of games to get people to realize Battlefield is a better game. The trick is getting them to try it.
Any actual evidence showing that EA is responsible? No and, from the site's cache, it seems they got hacked.
You should probably check out the cached version, which says this: Modern Warfare 3 .com is a 100% unofficial fan site dedicated to the Modern Warfare series. IF you haven't figured it out yet, this site is a parody of Modern Warfare 3. Call of Duty official site.
Kinda weird though.

@extremeradical: Thanks for the clarification. I had thought they got hacked, but it's strange to think that Activision doesn't own modernwarfare3.com
It's not strange if it was registered in 09.
What's weird is that someone would use it as a joke instead of selling it to Activision for a bajillion dollars.
Don't get me wrong, Battlefield beats the shit out of Call of Duty, but I'd make a quick dollar off that domain.
I meant strange in that I would think, before knowing all of this, that Activision would own the website and not random people. But yeah, I guess they could sell it for some cash. It's not strange if it was registered in 09.

EA's marketing has been dickish for the last few games.
I could give you some examples and pass it off as my own opinion, or I could direct you to this handy episode of Extra Credits.

Except this game will do really well, and is going to be a hell of a lot better than MW3 unless infinity ward turns shit way around from where it was at E3. Everyone ripped MW3 apart from what they saw, at least whenever I read anything.
Why does everybody just assume that EA did this? This.
Kinda a weird thing to assume.
Uhh. You guys realize that EA wouldn't have done this right? That's the most retarded thing you could have thought up. Not to mention the legal issues of getting caught.
