A Good Collection of Popular and lesser known classics

Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded is the second compilation from capcom. This compilation includes 19 classic games. They range from the first 3 Street Fighters (Street Fighter II, Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting). Other games are the Ghouls'n Ghost and Ghost and Goblins. Whats good about this compilation is that it has different types of games from different genres. So it has Fighting games, Shooters, SHMUPS (shoot em ups) and Beat em ups. so the variety of games in this collection is just impressive.

The Games themselves look pretty good and hold up well. The PSP has a nice small screen and the games have a clean sharp look to them. Also to note the user interface of the game is really impressive. It looks very clean and helps bring life into the menus. The Visual options for the game themselves are great too. For Vertical Oriented games theres an option to play the psp vertically so the game can be fully viewed. Also for games that are horizontally oriented can be stretched to fight the whole screen or be played in their original aspect ratios and have borders around the ends of the screen. It is great that Capcom has added these visual options to help the games fit on the PSP.

One Aspect of this collection that is not too impressive is its sound. It seems that for most games such as the Street Fighter games the sound seems to be either off or have a weird pitch. This definetely does not break the game or ruin your expirience. Its just unfortunate that a bit of the sound for most of the game is off. That isn't the case for every game as some of the games are perfectly emulated.

Obviously all of these games were made to be played in the Arcades or Super Nintendo. Capcom lets you choose your control options and they're all pretty decent. The Shoot em ups play well and so do the beat em ups but Street Fighter is a bit difficult to control. It seems the PSP's D-pad just doesnt control well for Street Fighter but its still very playable. Also to note the Load times are pretty long. The Loads to get into the game can range from 20 to 40 seconds depending on the game. It can be a little frustrating at times but you eventually get used to it

Capcom just adds more to this compilation because they give you a lot of extras. As you play the games you can earn points that translate to coins and you can spend these coins in the slot machine. What you get from the slot machine can be Cheats to use in the games, Music you can listen to outside of the games and Art. This is a great insentive to play each game to gain more points to spend in the slot machine.

Capcom has released quite a bit of classic compilations. They already have 2 for the PSP. This compilation is just a great buy for any fans of classic gaming or Capcom games. The package just gives you a lot for your moneys worth. While it does have little room for improvement, This game is a great buy.
