Capcom is a well-known Japanese game developer and publisher, formerly known as Capsule Computing. They are responsible for such franchises as Mega Man, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, Monster Hunter and Onimusha.
This can either be a good trend or a straight out horrible one. I mean it works for the megaman franchise but think of all the other series that might be RETRO-ED b/c of megaman 9's success. I mean I would not want a RETRO-ED castlevania or metal gear. But there can be good stemming from this. like RETRO-ED mario and RETRO-ED katamari damacy, how mad would that be

I want more 2d mario games, and not the "New super mario bros" type either.
I reread my comment above to realize that those weren't capcom series i mentioned. any other capcom series would not bode well, RETRO-ED resident evil and street fighter? no thanks!
I don't know much about this. I saw one pic and it looked like the NES version. It would be cool if as you went through the levels the graphics went up a gen and when you got to the last level it was just an insanely detailed model of Megaman fighting Doctor Wily in SF style with no background.
