Eventually they got married, and refitted a house that they began many adventures in. When Carl's wife talked about having children, they made a special room for their eventual child. Later on, Carl and Ellie got bad news. It turned out that the baby died. Deciding not to give up, Carl and Ellie began to travel around the world, while they became more older and older. Eventually, Carl realized that they aren't going to live forever. So he decided to take Ellie to Paradise Falls in South America. But more bad news came. Ellie died, and Left Carl her adventure book. Carl then became a grumpy old man.
