    Carter Pewterschmidt is the father to Lois, Carol and Patrick and married to his wife Barbara 'Babs' Pewterschmidt. Both of them are very wealthy and earn good fortunes as Carter runs his empire a company called Pewterschmidt Industries. He really hates his son-in-law Peter as he is untrusted for marrying his daughter Lois, even with the dog Brian at times. Despite of his cruel, selfish, sociopathic and imitating personality, he still loves his family such his daughter Lois, wife Babs and he is good with his grandchildren.
