    Castform is given to the player by the head of the Weather Institute after rescuing the Institute from attack by Team Aqua/ Magma. Under most weather conditions Castform is a normal type Pokémon, however, when exposed to intense sunlight it becomes a fire type, when exposed to rain it becomes a water type, and when exposed to snow or hail it becomes an ice type.
