    Castle Crashers

Game » consists of 12 releases. Released Aug 27, 2008

Grab three other knights and storm enemy forces in this downloadable beat-em-up with RPG elements, complete with smoothly-drawn graphics.

It bothers me this has gotten more attention over the issues.

Because I knew this game was gonna be fun, I just didn't realize it was gonna be this fun. I've had a total blast with castle crashers, Me and a my buddy Sickel have yet to get bored of it.

I just don't like how all the topics just seem to talk about the sever issues and nothing about how well it's doing. I really think this is one of the best Arcade titles out now, and when i look back to when Braid came out and this was all this buzz everyone was talking about Braid like; Giant bomb, 1-up, Penny Arcade. (As an aside, I would like to add that the latest 1-up fm podcast was nothing short of Nick Sutner giving Johnathin Blow a "BJ". )

I really do adore this game, I just don't know why no one else seem look past the problems and recognize something that deserves it's 15 minutes.

I haven't had the pleasure of playing Castle Crashers, but I know what it's like to get your hopes up and then have them destroyed by a glitchy game: Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. While in essence the game played like its predecessors, the bugs present in the final product left it feeling hurried and unfinished. Things were in the game that really shouldn't have been, and ultimately that affected my opinion of it.

From what I've seen here on the Bomb, Jeff and the guys really like Castle Crashers as a game. However, when a game deletes your progress repeatedly, it's difficult not to get pissed off with it, even if it is an awesome game. That's also the point of being a critic: to analyse the product in question and detail both its strengths and its flaws. Unfortunately, people are quicker to point out things that aren't to their liking: that's just the way the human mind works, I guess.

Bottom line, it's great that you're having a blast with Castle Crashers, and I hope you continue to do so. Don't let other people's thoughts bother you too much. If I did, I'd have started a justice campaign for Dirge of Cerberus a long time ago. As long as you're enjoying what you're playing, the game's gotta be doing something right.
