They only have the quick look up but no review. any ideas?
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
Game » consists of 16 releases. Released Oct 05, 2010
In this reboot of the beloved Castlevania franchise, Gabriel Belmont goes on a quest to defeat the sinister Lords of Shadow, who are preventing the souls of the departed from passing on to the afterlife, in order to obtain from them a magical mask that will bring his murdered wife Marie back from the dead.
So how comes Giant Bomb hasn't done a review for Castlevania yet?
They don't review every game they do a quick look of. Most of the time, a quick look is enough.
Edit: God Dommot I must be faster next time.
Few podcasts ago made it sound like Alex is on the Castlevania review if it gets a review at all.
add to the fact that the podcasts makes a good source for general consensus on the quality of games.

It's efficiency he was after and not the opinion of the GB staff (which would mean he probably listens to the podcast anyway)" Few podcasts ago made it sound like Alex is on the Castlevania review if it gets a review at all. add to the fact that the podcasts makes a good source for general consensus on the quality of games. ...well just use Meta Critic...link at metacritic.com.........thread over.
To those saying that they don't review every game out there, keep in mind that this is one of those games they said they'd review.
" they don't do reviews for all games. usually a quick look will be enough to show what the staff think about a game. "
" @TheNegativeDude: They're still working on the review for Red Dead Redemption. "I can't tell whether you're really bitter or joking.
" @Sin4profit said:There's a Quick Look. If you don't have time for that either, why not just ask one of the staff directly? I don't know if you'd get an answer, but it's better than nothing." " @Rockdalf said:That is a completely valid point and it was the quick look which initially sold me on the game. As much as I'd enjoy a review, I probably wouldn't agree with it if they don't think it was a great game. Probably best we don't get one after all." @Sin4profit said:There's a Quick Look. yeah just noticed no review for Vanquish either. i just figured castlvania was a big enough game for them to review. i know they dont review all games, but they usually skip smaller titles.

"I think part of the problem was that it was too big. 2 discs worth of stuff is a lot of game, and since this is the big release season they probably figured that it didn't look good enough to skip reviewing other games.

Having 3 people to review games is probably your answer.
Since they don't review every game, it's sort of why Quick Looks are good because they often take the place of a review. Especially a game like Castlevania Lords of Shadow which takes so long to beat they just don't have the time, I'm guessing. There are some user reviews for it on here (like mine!)
Who cares? Why do people want a review of every single game from this site? many sites have reviewed these games...there is no shortage of scores and articles you can read from else where. They have certainly talked enough about these un-reviewed titles that you can easily form a star rating from the way they sound, if it is that important.
Here are your reviews.

GB is one of the few websites i care about when it comes to reviews, 1up, eurogamer, gametrailers, and g4 being the others, but since i dont base my purchases based on their opinion, i buy the game and THEN read their reviews just to see what they thought of the game.
They have reviewed every game i've played before this so after I platinumed this game a couple of days ago, i started reading all the reviews. it came as a surprise to me when i realized they never reviewed it. That's all.
I think the quick look is good enough, shows you what the game is like and how the staff really feel about the game. Lately they've had a lot of games to review, how they managed to review Fallout: New Vegas amongst the rest of them is quite remarkable given how many reviewers there are for Giant Bomb. Occasionally they'll get help from Alex Navarro but it's mainly Jeff, Ryan and Brad.
I actually thought it was a pretty damn good game; Maybe not quite as good as say, God of War III, but good. I don't think the length of the game really has anything to do with it to be honest. I mean if a game such as Fallout: New Vegas can get a review and a quick look, then clearly playtime is not the issue. I don't know whether this speaks to the staff's dislike of the game itself, just that I believe its more likely that they have to many games to review as well as other duties.
Edit: Ack... to slow (In regards to previous poster mentioning Fallout: New Vegas)
After watching the QL of Castlevania, I don't think anyone at GB is motivated enough to write up a review for the game. Not every game needs a written review. I get more info from QLs and the Bombcast then the official reviews.
Also, I know I've heard it mentioned a few times on the bombcast that if they get caught up doing reviews for a couple of games, and it gets to be a few weeks after a game comes out, there probably won't be an official review.
I'm pretty sure the last time this came up was actually with Red Dead, where by the time they could spare someone for it, they didn't feel it would be worth it.
