Chessmaster: Grandmaster Edition, also known in the North American release as Chessmaster: Grandmaster Edition - The Art of Learning, is a digital chess game developed by Ubisoft Bucharest (Company) and published by Ubisoft for the PC (Platform) in October-November 2007. It later received a digital release via Steam (Concept) on May 13, 2008, although this version was delisted sometime after. It is the 12th and final installment of the Chessmaster (Franchise) series of chess games. It also received handheld conversions by Ubisoft Bulgaria for the PlayStation Portable (Platform) and Nintendo DS (Platform), both under the name Chessmaster: The Art of Learning. The DS version features Single-Card Download Play support, while the PSP version was later digitally released on the PlayStation Network (Concept) in 2009. It also received a console conversion by Ubisoft Bulgaria for the Xbox 360 (Platform) (as an Xbox Live Arcade title) on January 30, 2008 under the name Chessmaster Live. Although the XBLA version does not feature most of the teaching tools, it includes Xbox Live multiplayer, Xbox Live Vision camera support, and multiple DLC chess sets. The XBLA version was later delisted sometime in late 2011.
