    SP

    C.C. Sabiathia
    Carlos Zambrano
Ryan Dumpster...I mean Dempster...I still hate him for that game one meltdown...7 f'in walks, seriously!!!
    RIch Harden
    Ted Lilly

    RP

Jason Marquis...he could be our "6th" SP
    Jeff Szmardjia
    Bob Howry
Sean Marshall..he could be our "7th" SP

    To close it off

    Carlos Marmol
    Kerry wood

That would be one sick lineup on the pitching side

As far as offense goes...I am drawing a blank!! I thought we had a good enough team, maybe adding Manny Ramirez would help out??

i hate manny, but he is a good hitter. but yeah that rotation would be amazing for the regular season, but i think they would get swept in the playoffs again.

I thought your head was gonna explode in sheer amazement..if they have CC then they can go easy on Harden...hell we could go into a 7 game series, down 3 games and we would still be throwing aces out there...then again the cubs pitchers also choked so yeah....
By the way we gotta get more ppl involved in this thread...and I have kinda forgiven the cubs, how about you?

Now that i think about it, CC would make the Cubs way better, but do you think Harden and Dempster will get a new contract?

Dempster most certainly...Harden is prbly gonna get his option picked up. I would imagine dempster getting around 10-12 mil a season from the cubs...Harden's option is 7 million. If they want to resign him though, the big question is how many games can he pitch

p.s. I dont think Harden can ever be a starting pitcher...not even a solid number 2. Dude breaks down wayyyyy too easily, he is like a number 4 guy in my opinion. He would make one helluva middle reliever but that is about it...sadly

Dude he does like 90 pitches every two weeks....that is not a ace right there. This guy is worse than ben sheets...Harden is always complaining about something...

I guess your right. He would be a good reliever. So you think Lily should be number 4?

well..that is gonna throw the rotation into a bigger mess and moreover I am sure Harden will not agree to the demotion. The prblm they now is they have too many "good" pitchers..yeah right..but seriously though, they have these 10 guys minus C.C. right now and on top of that they have Gaudin, Neal Cotts and lets not forget about Rich Hill. They were talking about moving Szmararjda to the starting pitcher(like a number 5) or atleast give him the chance to compete for that spot. If that happens it drops Marquis to the bullpen where he can kinda fill the middle reliever role along with Carlos Marmol and Gaudin. Woody would be our closer cause he did a pretty decent job at it. Oh and by the way, he is also a free agent.....I wonder if the cubs will sign him to a long term contract.

Oh and about Fukedome...I agree with you, its the minors for him. They will prbly look to import another big left bat from out of the country, or try to trade for someone. They can easily trade away some of the other middle relievers, cause we got too many of those

Yeah, I never realized how good of pitching the cubs should have next year. I think Szmararjda could end up being a good starter if they gave him a chance. I don't know, it will be interesting. Oh and is Edmonds done or no?

Edmonds was talking about retiring, but he will come back if the cubs really want him I guess. He said that he liked it here and to be honest with you, I like him too. He hit like 19 Home runs for us and I am happy with that. I love that Underlined part of yours...I guess we will see how good the cubs pitching is next year. The offense kinda scares me though. However, I think we have to agree that Soriano should definitely not be the leadoff hitter. Pinella did a shittier job putting Fukedome in at number 2...I do not know why he did that...

Brian roberts baby..guy had a .296 average and had like 30+ homeruns If I remember right. Also he had 40 steals...by far the most in the MLB. He plays for the oriolies by the way...like every team in the league wants him. Including the white sox..so it is going to prbly come down to between the cubs and the sox
