Chime is finally coming to the PS3, long after its Xbox Live Arcade and PC debuts--and it’s coming with a few extras. In a recent European PlayStation Blog post, developer Zoë Mode revealed Chime Super Deluxe, an upgraded version of the game featuring a co-op mode, a suite of competitive multiplayer modes, new visuals, a re-worked scoring system, and a total of 10 songs.

In the post, Zoë Mode doesn’t get into the specifics about any of the new content. It has, instead, opted to save those reveals for later postings, which should be coming in the very near future as Chime Super Deluxe is slated to hit PSN “soon.”

Chime, by the way, is a musical puzzle game reminiscent of Lumines. In the game, you create grids of blocks called quads. Once a visual beat line passes over the quad you’ve created, you earn points. The twist is that individual quads generate notes and phrases that go along with a song.

They didn't even have to add anything but new songs to convince me to buy this again. I love it.

I hope they still give some of the proceeds to charity. Other than the kick-ass soundtrack, it was one of the driving reasons to buy the original.

I liked Chime. It was a damn good game to chill-out with. Glad to see it's coming to PSN, I'll have to pick it up.

Awe.  Cool that PS3 users get their turn, but I hope they make a pay-DLC pack to get the new content for the 360 and PC versions.  I'd happily pay another $5 for the new content...

Bought it on steam during the Christmas sale (had no idea it was for charity, lol, feel kinda bad). It's a fun game, but I started seeing the tiles everywhere because I played it too much while trying to study for exams.

I love this game. I wish they would port the deluxe version over to the pc or 360. I bought both xbla and steam versions the day they were released...

Loved this game enough to s-rank it.  I was seeing blocks everywhere for days just like other people have mentioned, not mention having the portal song continually stuck in my head.

The only thing they need is a randomizer and the ability to import your own songs. That's all they need. Once they put that in, I'll consider buying it again.

I wonder if those additional songs will eventually come to the earlier versions.  I would really love some more songs in the Steam version that I own for instance.
