Just joined. This game seems surprisingly fun for what it is. How do I maximize the efficiency of my card progression? Any tips?

Giant Bombers is another clan filled with many Giant Bomb fans. Usually have a few spots as players leave for other clans or get bounced for not playing/donating. all are welcome to join.

Only upgrade cards more than two or three times if you use them. Otherwise you are wasting gold. Get in a clan, and donate and request cards like crazy. Get your crown chest every day, always have a chest opening, and always have a gold chest saved to open at night while you sleep. You'll be better off having all your chest slots full at all times.

If you happen to be down to only a gold chest during the day don't start opening it, go win a silver chest to open. Losing 15 minutes to get a chest is better than wasting hours of a chest not unlocking at night.

Save your gems until 500 to buy 10,000 gold. Later upgrades cost multiple thousands of gold, so you'll need it. You'll also want to use 2000 gold to buy epic cards if a good one randomly comes up for sale. You probably only want to buy one each time though because the second card purchase in a category per day goes up substantially in gold.

The "official" Giant Bomb clan has quite a few spots open. Just look for the one Brad is in, and request to join using a GB reference and you'll get in!

The clan Ozones talking about is #QJ9P22 with a Red Bomb icon. 23k Clan Trophies and tons of donations. Casual but active since inactives get pruned every week.
